NEW TRENCHING ROV
<New ROV> Scheduled to debut in 2026
Construction of offshore wind farms has already begun, with the goal of achieving a carbon-neutral, decarbonized society by 2050. Construction in general waters will begin in 2027, marking full-scale implementation.
With an eye toward that future, we have decided to introduce the cutting-edge, highly functional ROV, the SMD QT1200.As of 2025, we proudly hold the No. 1 track record for undersea power cable burial work in Japan. Building on this experience and track record, we have held extensive discussions with SMD to create a custom-built ROV. The burial mechanism has been boldly upgraded, and areas that are over-spec compared to the standard model have been removed (allowing for a more affordable solution), making it ideal for operation in Japan's coastal waters. The introduction of the ROV will increase the efficiency of burial work, allowing for safer and faster construction.
